For the second year, the E! Network will host the People’s Choice Awards live from Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. Event coverage will kick off on E! with the network’s Live From the Red Carpet show at 7 p.m. ET followed by the actual awards ceremony at 9 p.m.

Similar to the 2019 Academy Awards and 2019 Emmy Awards, the People’s Choice Awards have no designated host. Instead, several celebrities will grace the stage to not only present but walk audience members and viewers through highlights of pop culture’s biggest moments of the year.

Who’s presenting?

Dozens of A-listers are slated to hand out awards throughout the night, including David Spade, Jenna Dewan, Bellamy Young, Sarah Hyland, Joey King, Kelly Rowland, KJ Apa, Terry Crews Asante Blackk, Brittany Snow, D’Arcy Carden, Jacob Tremblay, Karamo Brown, Karen Gillan, Kat Dennings, Lucy Hale, Maggie Q, Rob Riggle, Sean Hayes, Storm Reid and Tom Payne. Athletes including Alex Morgan and Coco Gauff and fashion designer Jeremy Scott are also expected to present awards and announce performers.

Who’s performing?

Grammy-winning singer Alessia Cara is set to take the stage along with Kelsea Ballerini, who was nominated for Best Country Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards, will belt out classics from her discography.

Who’s getting the Icon Award?

Three leading ladies of Hollywood will take home icon awards at this year’s ceremony including Jennifer Aniston, who is slated to receive the People’s Icon Award, Fashion Icon Award winner Gwen Stefani and Pink, who will be honored with the People’s Champion of 2019 Award.

Who’s nominated?

Altogether, awards will be handed out in 43 different categories ranging from the movie of 2019 and the TV show of 2019 down to the pop podcast of 2019 and the Beauty Influencer of 2019. Dozens of prominent figures are nominated for awards but some of the biggest names include people like LeBron James, Megan Rapinoe, Ariana Grande, Jonas Brothers, Lizzo, Taylor Swift, Cardi B, Lil Was X, Bad Bunny, Drake, Jameela Jamil, Kristen Bell, Sterling K. Brown, Sophie Turner, Cole Sprouse and several others.

Can the show be live-streamed?

Viewers without access to television will still be able to catch the ceremony and red carpet arrivals via live stream on E!’s website and app on any smart device. However, they’ll still need a cable provider login to access the stream. The stream is also available on NBC’s website. Those with Hulu’s Live TV service can catch the show in real time there too.

This year marks the 45th People’s Choice Awards to honor and celebrate the greatest TV shows, movies, pop culture, and music.

Millions of people have been voting for their favorite contestants over the course of the last six consecutive weeks, but who is going to take home the shiny new trophy and who is going to go home empty-handed? Giuliana Rancic and Jason Kennedy will be kickstarting things off by co-hosting the network’s signature E! Live From The Red Carpet: The 2019 People’s Choice Awards starting at 7 pm ET/PT.

However, this year, for the main event, The People’s Choice Awards is opting to go hostless. But fret not, because it is going to be an epic show you would not want to miss!

Biggest nominations:

2019 has been the biggest year for Latin artists as they have a good number of nominations in the 43 categories. We see Bad Bunny is nominated for the ‘Best Male Artist of 2019’ as well as ‘The Latin Artist 2019’ amidst other Latin competitors like Camila Cabello, Cardi B, J Balvin Daddy Yankee and more in their respective categories.

On the other hand, Avengers: Endgame received the most number of nominations in different categories this year with seven nominations in its name. One of the toughest categories it is in is ‘The Male Movie Star 2019’. Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth are up for the win this year for their nomination in the film. Whose side are you on— Iron Man or Thor?

Last year we saw BTS swept all the four categories they were nominated for. This year could be a close call as they are competing against fellow K-Pop band ‘BlackPink’ which is also nominated for ‘The Group of 2019’, ‘The Concert Tour of 2019’ and ‘The Music Video of 2019’. Both groups have made big waves in the music industry.
